I am a lesbian, a first-generation Russian Jewish American, who loves West Hollywood. I love its culture, its history, its world-class restaurants, its nightlife, and everything it offers. This city has shaped me, welcomed my family, and lifted up my community. But we can’t truly thrive here when crime, rampant drug use, and a lack of resources undermine our quality of life.
West Hollywood should be a place where people feel safe at home and safe at night. Right now, crime remains a serious concern in our city. West Hollywood’s combined violent and property crime rate is significantly higher than both the state and national averages, and residents have about a 1 in 16 chance of becoming a victim of crime. Our violent crime and property crime rates, especially for robbery, theft, and burglary, exceed national norms by wide margins.

I believe public safety is a priority, not an afterthought. As someone who supports law enforcement, I look forward to working closely with them to push for increased patrol presence where it matters most: in our neighborhoods, near homes, and around nightlife districts so families, workers, and visitors can enjoy all that West Hollywood offers without fear.
rEVITLIZING nIGHTlIFE
It is unfortunately well known that some patrons at major nightclubs and bars in West Hollywood have experienced drink-spiking and predatory behavior. While the City has taken steps by distributing drink-testing kits to venues, patrons to help people stay safe, as your councilwoman, I will work with nightlife venues, law enforcement, and community partners to ensure kits are available, staff are trained to intervene, and perpetrators are held accountable so West Hollywood’s vibrant nightlife is both fun and safe for everyone.
dIVERSITY & iNCLUSIVITY
Lastly, West Hollywood is a place of diversity and pride for so many LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, artists, families, longtime residents, and people from around the world. I will ensure our city’s events, programs, and civic life remain inclusive of everyone, including Zionists, conservatives, and all communities that make West Hollywood the vibrant place we love.
SUPPORTING BUSINESSES
West Hollywood’s businesses are the heartbeat of our community but too many owners are drowning in red tape, excessive permitting fees, and bureaucratic delays that make it harder to open, operate, and grow. As your councilwoman, I will work directly with business owners to cut unnecessary barriers, streamline the permitting process, and create a city government that says yes to local enterprise. West Hollywood should be the easiest place in Los Angeles County to run a business, not the hardest.
IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES
West Hollywood has always been a refuge; a place where people come to build new lives, find community, and belong. Our Russian-speaking Jewish immigrant community, many of whom fled persecution to make West Hollywood their home, are a vital and beloved part of who we are. As your councilwoman, I will ensure that city programs, services, and civic life are accessible to our immigrant residents in their languages, respectful of their cultures, and protective of their dignity. Every person who chose West Hollywood chose it for a reason. I will make sure this city continues to deserve that choice.
